Light of Christ
Cub Scouts in 1st or 2nd grade work to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. With the parents’ active assistance and participation in this program, it is hoped that the Cub will come to see Jesus as a real person and His friend.

Brother Aidan Francis
Cub Scouts in 2nd grade (that have already received Light of Christ) or 3rd grade explore Brother Aidan Francis’s respect for Saint Francis. Scouts explore types of prayer, understand how Jesus is with us when we hear Bible stories, and learn how service is a part of our life with Jesus.

Parvuli Dei
WeBeLoS Scouts in 4th or 5th grade discover the presence of God in the Scout’s daily life as members of their families and parishes. Scouts develop a good, positive self-image through the contributions they make to the community. The Scout becomes aware of their responsibilities that grow out of God’s love for us.

My Faith and Promise
6th, 7th, or 8th grade Scouts are led to a closer relationship with Christ and His Blessed Mother. The Scout learns the importance of “prayer” and how to communicate with God through prayer. The Scout explores the spiritual aspects of their Scout Promise and Law, badges and service projects.

Ad Altare Dei2015_AAD
Scouts, 13 and above, and Venturers develop a Christian way of life in the faith community. The program is organized in chapters based on the seven Sacraments. The seven Sacraments are a primary means toward spiritual growth. The most important aspect of the program is that the Scout grows in his spiritual experience of his relationship to God and the church.

Light is Life
Scouts of the Eastern Catholic Rites, 13 and above and before their 18th birthday, develop a fully Christian way of life in the faith community.  Light is Life respects the cultural and ritual differences among the various Eastern Rite Catholic Churches. The Light is Life program is to be used by Eastern-rite Catholic Scouts instead of the Ad Altare Dei program. It is not appropriate to work on both programs.

Pope Pius XII
Either Boy Scouts or Venturers who are 15 and above examine church-related ministries and vocations. The program deals with different life choices, occupations and ministries in the church as calls from God. It includes youth led discussions on current issues facing the church and society.

2015_PPXII

Archbishop McCarthy (after completing Pope Pius XII only)
Scouts research the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church. They analyze the personal and societal causes of social issues important to them. They put their faith into action completing service projects relating to the social issues examined.
